The eatery’s owner came up with the idea for his signature dish “Daruma Gyoza” (daruma-shaped dumplings) after he had a dream featuring both Daruma dolls and the popular food, gyoza. The eatery opened its doors in 2012.
The gyoza served here is oval in shape, just like a Daruma doll. The skin is crunchy on top, and chewy underneath, and the dumplings are filled with pork mince accompanied by vegetables like Chinese cabbage, cabbage, garlic chives and onions. The secret ingredients of shrimp powder and cinnamon bring this gyoza a new taste sensation.
